Although the concept of evaluation of
faculty members by students has been resented in many
institutions, the management of the Trident group lays
substantial emphasis on such faculty evaluation ,subject to
correction for aberrations. Twice in a semester, the Management
Representative (MR) conducts surprise visits to classes and
a 15 minutes written feedback is obtained from each student
in a class in a pre-printed form. (Students are strictly
prohibited from any kind of lateral discussion during the
feedback)
The feedbacks have been found to be quite helpful in
planning procurement of library books, planning rescheduling
of theory and practical classes, management of issue of
books and journals and finally counselling the teaching
faculty on their areas of improvement.
In the event of any particular faculty member being
adversely commented upon in general, usually the concerned
lecturer and the Management Representative (MR) have a
confidential meeting discussing for future improvements.
