Faculty
An institution for biotech
sciences is known from the quality of its teaching faculty. With
mushrooming of Biotechnology colleges in self-financing modes, it
has become difficult for most such institutions to have permanent
teaching faculty. Therefore, both Govt and private institutions are
either engaging contractual lecturers or are assigning certain
modules to outsiders (Lecturers/Readers/Professors of other
organisations). Due to such heavy dependence on outsiders, the
quality of absorption of knowledge on the part of the students
suffers heavily because, such outsiders are not available in the
institution to the students as and when they want and they do not
usually help in the LABS.
In view of the above, in Trident School of Biotech
Sciences, there has been very careful mix. The School has on its
permanent rolls, about 15(Fifteen) members of teaching faculty from
various specialisations (Including PhD holders & PostDoc work) and with various degrees of exposure to
teaching and research (For knowing the permanent faculty members,

here (In-house). Individual profiles can
also be seen by clicking on the name of the concerned faculty
member.)
In addition to the permanent members, for about 10%
to 15% of the critical subjects, the teachings of Trident faculty
are usually supplemented by seminar talks and module teachings of
very selected professors from outside. To find out the details of
professors who have been associated with the Trident in past, please
