Trident Academy of Technology conducted a National Seminar on Biomedical Engineering on 22/5/2006. The seminar was conducted at Hotel Swosti Plaza. In addition to all the 60 students of Deptt of Biomedical Engineering of the college, Academicians, Parents of prospective students and other dignitaries were present. The seminar was chaired by Prof. Omkar Nath Mohanty, Vice Chancellor of BPUT and the technical presentations were conducted by Prof. Rinti Banerjee of IIT Mumbai, Prof. Swapna Banerjee IIT Kharagpur, Prof. Alok Ray IIT Delhi and Prof. Subroto Pal of Jadavpur University. Since the entire concept of Biomedical Engg was new, students and other participants thoroughly enjoyed the seminar being educated on the current as well as the future scope for Biomedical Engineers in a global perspective.
