The Bioinformatics Lab

The computer lab caters to the full need of the students of Biotechnology both at B.Sc and M.Sc levels. In addition 16 COMPAQ computers have been completely prepared for the 32 students. The lab is now located on the top floor. 

The computers are networked in a switching system to the main server which has broadband internet connection of 2MBPS bandwidth. The facility is also linked with the wireless Wi-Fi system of the Technoplex.The computers of Bioinformatics lab are loaded with the specially required Bioinformatics software packages and these packages combined with the broadband internet enable the students full facilities for easy and accurate datamining of the biological databases.
