Ms.
Priyambada Rupadarshini Biswal
Ms Biswal
completed her MSc. in Botany from Utkal
University in 2002 with specialization in
Environmental Biology. She was engaged in
assisting the Professors in research work
in the department and in the process, she
completed here M.Phil in 2008 with
specialization in Plant Cell, Tissue and
Organ Culture. During 2002 and 2008, Ms
Biswal was actively engaged in
eco-physiological studies of aquatic
ecosystem in different areas of Orissa like
Bhitarakanika Wild life Sanctuary, Ansupa
lake.
Ms Biswal had
submitted her thesis for PhD and is
expecting the award soon. During her PhD
thesis, she was engaged in establishing
different protocols in Plant Tissue Culture
techniques of valuable medicinal endangered
trees as well as herbal species,
Biochemical, Pharmacognosy studies and
gaining knowledge in DNA technology and
genetic engineering.
She was doing
the Ethno-Botanical studies of different
forest areas of Orissa. During here 06(Six)
years stay in Utkal University, she had
attended more than 14(Fourteen) national and
international conferences / seminars and
workshops.
She has been
awarded the Sarojini G. Panigrahi Young
Scientist Award in 2006, Prof. B. K. Nanda
Memorial Award in 2007 by Orissa Botanical
Society and has received the award from
S.E.S.A, Ranchi for Best Paper Presentation
and Posters.
She has more
than 11(Eleven) Publications in national
journals and one in an International
journal.
Ms Biswal has
joined TACT as faculty in 2008.
