Dr(Mrs) Prangya Paramita Tripathy
Dr(Mrs)
Tripathy completed her MSc(Microbiology) in
1997 from Orissa University of Agricultural
Technology(OUAT) Bhubaneswar. As a part of
her PG dissertation work, she has carried
out 08(Eight) months research on
“Biofertilizer application in aquatic
system” at CIFA, Bhubaneswar. Dr Tripathy is
well aquainted with isolation and
identification of microorganisms such as Azatobacter
and Azarpirillums.
She was
awarded PhD in Microbiology in the year 2006
from the National Dairy Research Institute,
Karnal under the guidance of Dr P.K.
Aggarwal of NDRI. Her PhD was focused on the
Microbial Proteomics of Probiotic Lab with
special reference to identification of
stress proteins. During her work, she got
valuable experience in advanced techniques
and concepts of biology such as SEM, 1D & 2D
and Electrophoresis, MALDI-TOF & 2D-Nano
LC-MS.
Before joining
our teaching faculty, Dr Tripathy had two
years of industry experience in Quality
Control (QC), quality assurance (QA), GLP
and GMP protocols in microbiology. She also
had two years of research in toxicology from
CIFA in collaboration with a contract
research project on Sulabh International
Social Service Organisation.
Mrs Tripathy
has published in several national and
international journals and is also
participated in various conferences and
workshops of her field.
